My First Blog Entry Ever - I Joined The Cult.... :-)

My First entry

I'm not a 'blogger'. I don't really even know what one is. I actually just want a place to put pictures of the craft stuff I do. My Dropbox has filled up, and I don't really want to keep the pictures on my computer. I think it's great to attempt to make something pretty out of paper, a cricut, some stamps, ink, and a cuttlebug. It's great. Oh, and I steal so many ideas from amazing artistic people on Pinterest. But, I always love to give them the credit, so I will give them the credit when I fence their ideas!!! Alright, here goes.....In the future, I guess I'll do like the cool kids do, and put the step-by-step instructions on how I complete my projects. But for now, here's what I've done. Enjoy!!! :-)
The above card I thought up for my male co-worker. I wanted something that was cool and cute, but it was definitely for a guy. I think it worked. It's a pop-up card with a banner as well. I even put in eyelets to mad it up a little bit! :-) Hey, he didn't say "Eww...."!
The above project was completed for a friend whose son graduated from High School. These were party favors that were given out at his party. It was so cute! I had to use a lot of glue to keep those little hats together! I used Baker's Twine for the tassle, and a brad for the top of the graduation cap to keep the tassle on. Fun!!!

This was the first scrapbook page I ever created. I asked the person what their favorite singers, bands, and songs were, and searched the artists. Then, I cut out the hearts from the Cricut Craftroom, and then wrote the song/singer or group on each heart. There it is.....

This card was just a quick thank-you note for a group of instructors who taught a tough class at work. They did great, and I wanted to show my appreciation. Oh, and I gave them a bunch of cookies too!!! Can't go wrong with that!!! Nom, nom, nom!!! :-)
I make cards for Operation Write Home, and this was one I made for them. If you don't know about the group, please go check them out. They are so amazing, and I am so honored to be a part of this organization!
Well, I guess that's it for my first entry. Crafting is good therapy - I can vouch for that, because I'm a shrink!! I can't really say it's less expensive though. :-) Take care.
